Most in their 20s wake up feeling lost and stuck in a life of not knowing what do to. You know that feeling lying in bed and asking yourself "What am I even doing with my life?" while everyone around you seems to have it figured out.
But here's what I've learned: the reason you feel lost isn't because you lack direction – it's because your environment is actively working against your growth.
Today I am going to teach you the mindset shit and the transformation roadmap you need to become from lost to oriented young person waking up with purpose and goals and building meaningful life.
Let's dive in!
The Invisible Prison You've Built Around Yourself
Most 20s live like this:
You wake up, check your phone, see the same people posting the same things. You go to work or class, interact with the same faces, have the same conversations. You come home, study or scroll through social media, watch Netflix, go out with friends, do some home chores and repeat.
Your days past so fast, because nothing challenges you and eventually you have again birthday. Nothing forces you to think differently. Nothing pushes you beyond what you already know.
This isn't living – it's existing.
You see others succeeding, building businesses, traveling, living their dreams, and you wonder: "What's wrong with me? Why can't I figure this out?"
But here is the truth you need to hear:
Your environment is your comfort zone, and in your comfort zone, growth is impossible.
Growth requires friction.
It demands uncomfortable conversations, difficult decisions, and situations that make you question everything you thought you knew about yourself.
But when you're surrounded by the same people, doing the same things, thinking the same thoughts, your brain goes into autopilot. It stops seeking new opportunities because it doesn't need to.
Everything is predictable, manageable and safe.
The people around you – your family, friends, colleagues – they mean well, but they're operating from their own limitations. They'll tell you to "be realistic," to "play it safe," to "think about the future" while unknowingly keeping you trapped in their version of what life should look like.
The Critical Thinking Framework That Changes Everything
Here's how to start thinking like someone who transforms their life instead of just surviving it:
Step 1: Regular Self-Reflection
Look at yourself with the honesty and ask yourself this questions: What do you actually have? What do you genuinely want? What resources, skills, and opportunities are you ignoring because they feel uncomfortable?
Most people lie to themselves about their situation. They either overestimate their problems or underestimate their potential. Neither helps.
Step 2: Question Everything
Every belief you have about what's possible, what's "realistic," what you "should" do – where did these come from? Your parents? Your teachers? Society? Other people's fears?
Start asking: "Is this actually true, or is this just what I've been told?"
Step 3: Design Your Own life
Stop measuring your progress by other people's standards. The guy from high school who got the corporate job isn't necessarily winning. The influencer with millions of followers isn't necessarily happy.
What does success actually look like for YOU?
The biggest transformation happens when you stop asking "What should I do?" and start asking "Who do I want to become?
Most people approach life backwards. They think: "Once I figure out my career, I'll be happy." But it works the opposite way. You become the person who attracts the opportunities, relationships, and lifestyle you want.
The one who never gave up will succeed.
Not because the universe rewards persistence, but because every failure teaches you something that brings you closer to what works.
Your Transformation Roadmap
- Find your core values – Not what sounds good, but what actually drives your decisions when nobody's watching. If you need extra help with this step, I wrote my book "4 Quadrants of Life Alignment" where I break down a simple, step-by-step framework to identify your authentic values and align every area of your life with them. Most people think they know their values, but they're actually living by someone else's expectations.
- Build goals that align with your values
- Embrace discomfort as your compass – If it feels too easy, you're probably not growing
- Develop critical thinking as a daily practice – Question assumptions, challenge beliefs, seek evidence
- Create systems that force growth – Put yourself in situations where you have to start a project that scares you. Set deadlines that make you uncomfortable. Apply for opportunities you're "not ready for." The key is removing your ability to stay comfortable.
- Stay consistent through the darkness – Most people quit right before the breakthrough.
Your future self is your daily choices.
Choose growth over comfort.
Choose truth over convenience.
Choose action over endless planning.
The person you're meant to become is waiting for you to start.
That's it for this week
Thank you for reeding.
See you on next Sunday Clarity Letter.
