Three years ago, I started studying about all this digital creator world, and it took me years to realise how to make a system and how to find the right path to make my daily routine work for my goals, not against them.
I had to sacrifice a lot of things, and I made mistakes, but here I am on my path to success, and I have never felt better in my life. Still, I don’t have big public success, but finally, I feel I am on the right way to it.
My whole journey started with the question:
Why are these people working 8 hours per day, having a great university degree, and still not enough money to be free to go wherever they want to live or to buy just a simple flat so they don’t need to be scared that the rent will rise or the landlord will tell them to leave the place they live?
I know exactly how tough it is to work so hard just to pay your rent! I’ve been in that place where it feels like this isn’t really your home. You deserve to feel safe, but I understand that deep down, there’s always that fear of something going wrong.
Then I started searching for how people make more money.
What I realised is that working for someone else is as difficult as working for yourself. And being an employee is sometimes even more difficult than becoming an owner of your business. Then I started searching and looking for opportunities because I knew I wanted to be independent, have free time, financial stability.
I knew a lot of people who built businesses and made their hobbies their primary job and made much more money than the average salary.
So, with this in mind, I started seeing the world from this business owner perspective.
I sat at a coffee shop, and my boyfriend and I were talking about the possible profit and expenses of this coffee shop, or the price of some beautiful house. I just became obsessed with this idea of becoming free.
At the moment you understand what you’re scared of, what terrifies you, don’t ignore it.
Think about it and think about how you can make it better. What can you do to achieve it even if it requires some sacrifice? Because usually, it does.
Here is an example from my life: I went to live abroad for one year in a European country where I didn’t know the language, only speaking in English. This experience gave me so much, but what I want to share with you is that I lived there, and I had to pay my rent for the flat I was living in. I knew I needed money because how could I live and pay all these expenses: flat, food, transport?
So I started working. I was selling in a jewelry shop, and this job really paid well. But even with a big salary and having all these expenses, especially the rent, nothing was left at the end of the month.
Yes, I learned a lot about selling and all kinds of precious stones, but that’s it. Nothing else. I had a peak of my knowledge and on my personal development, and then everything started to repeat, becoming really boring and exhausting in my routine.
I was working to make money to live. And that’s it.
But this isn’t living; it’s existing. There is no more personal development. So I quite.
I had to make a sacrifice so I could have time to develop my skills and to start building a business that gives me the life I want. So I knew without free time this is impossible.
I went back home, where there is no rent, where my family and my parents can help me, so I can invest my time in developing skills that I like and need to start earning money on my own.
None of this would have happened if I hadn’t put myself in this situation living abroad on my own at all.
Again, as in my marathon journey I am now under 1% of the population in the world. (here if you want to read more about it and the importance of challenging yourself ), I put myself in a hard situation that give me the opportunity to learn and grow as a person.
So here it is 3 extremely important lessons, I've learned from my life experience:
- Think critically and write down what you’re afraid of and what you want from life.→ Even if you don’t know how to achieve it, keep it in your mind daily, and your brain will start looking for opportunities. Just remind yourself what you want from life. Take risks and make sacrifices. I know it’s scary, but you don’t have any other choice if you want to grow and create the life you dream of. People grow only through times full of difficulties. Success is hidden behind what you’re afraid of. Become obsessed with the idea in your mind and think of it daily, even when you feel this is impossible for you.
- Set measurable goals → this is the only way to get closer and to improve. Not just like “I want to build my body and go to the gym sometimes once, sometimes twice a week”—no, no, no. Make a plan that you can stick to. Write down: “In the next 3 months, I will go 4 times per week to the gym and count the workouts.” By the end of the third month, I will have made 48 workouts in the gym. This is the right way to make progress, so your time doesn’t feel wasted when you can measure what you have done through it. Keep going and stick to the plan based on your personal goals that will help you build your dream life.
- Last but not leased - live in the moment. → Don't get caught up in your thoughts. People always thing about something in the future or something in the past. Leave this thoughts away, don't look at them. Try always to be in the now. In the present moment, no matter if it's boring, exiting, or exausting. Live everything, just be there. That's how the happy people live their lives. What is in the past is already gone and don't worth more time of yours thinking of it. What will come is gonna come, no need to think of it, because now is never gonna come back. So live in the now.
Since I live by this 3 lessons, I feel much better in my life. I see the progress, at the same time I enjoy every moment and I am not afraid to take risks, because I already know that behind every risk is hidden new opportunity. Nobody can take away from you the knowledge and the experience from your life. Be brave!
That's it for these week!
I hope this finds you well.
Thank you for reeding!
